  • Pioneer Town is a Old West–style historic village located right at 7A Ranch in Wimberley. It was originally created in the late 1950s by 7A Ranch founder Raymond L. Czichos as a fun, family‑friendly way to step back in time and experience the spirit of the American frontier, with wooden boardwalks, rustic storefronts, and vintage buildings reminiscent of the 1800s–1900s era.

  • Exploring the town and walking the boardwalks is free and open to the public!

  • Yes! Pioneer Town offers a scavenger hunt that’s available at all times. The scavenger hunt paper can be picked up at the front office or at the Ice Cream Parlor when it’s open. Kids receive a small treat upon completion—a fun way for the whole family to explore the town!

  • The museum is run by Ms. Glover, who sets her hours on a month-to-month basis. For the most up-to-date information, it’s best to give the front office a call—we’d be happy to check if the museum is open during your visit. Museum hours are also posted on the front of the museum and at the front office.

  • Yes! The Pioneer Express Railroad is currently running. You can check out the most up-to-date train schedule here. It’s a fun, family-friendly way to experience the ranch from a unique perspective.

  • Yes! Guests are welcome to take photos for fun throughout Pioneer Town, from the old-time storefronts to the Bottle House. For professional or commercial photo shoots, please give us a call to schedule or arrange—we’d be happy to help make it happen!

  • Dogs on leashes are welcome on the Pioneer Town grounds, though some indoor attractions have restrictions. Pets are not permitted for river day access.
