7A Saddles up!

Winston Churchill once said...

No hour of life is wasted that is spent on a horse.

This week for #WimberleyWednesday we went to a local ranch.

Hunters Chase Farms is a barn that specializes in hunter jumper lessons! They're located on Loneman Mountain Road. Not only do they offer after school lessons for children kindergarten through 12th grade...

Our office manager was a part of their team in 2015!

Hunters Chase Farms is...

family owned and operated. Marylaura Doherty is the founder and owner of HCF which has been in operation since 1988. She decided while in vet school that her true passion was with teaching others how to ride, while at the same time, instilling the importance of patience, hard work, team work and responsibility.

Katherine is Marylaura's daughter and she shares the same passion for horses and teaching as her mother. She became Texas State Equestrian coach in 2014. She also has two children of her own. Both of which are already showing their mother's and grandmother's love for these magnificent creatures and all they have to offer.

Here are just a few of the fabulous HCF students doing what they love.

"There's nothing better for the inside of a man, than the outside of a horse."-Ronald Reagan

Along with the MANY horses at HCF, there's also a variety of other unique little(and BIG) creatures.

I'm sure you've seen a miniature mule... this is Rookie, he stands just around 2 and a half feet tall.

Then there's Scooby, the draft mule who stands OVER 6 FEET TALL!

Here are some more of the critters around the farm!

...they can be a lot easier to love than humans...

Now let's go for a ride!
